Pros

The water quality produced is excellent compared to others i have used. Very happy with the quality of the stainless steal interior and the fact that there is no contact with silicone in the chamber. Hope it lasts.

The taste is great, especially as i think as i clean the boiler every time to prevent build up of sludge - and that does smell. It takes approx 3 hours to get 4 litres so patience is needed. Neither one has any limescale build-up anymore and i feel be...  Read More

Easy to assemble and use. Only criticism is that the instruction manual translation is very poor and can be a little confusing.

I am envious and your run costs might be nil and your house a little warmer. This creates a gentle warm breeze in your kitchen at around 750-900w.

The jug it comes with has a little metal guide to steer the distilled water in. I now keep that jug in the fridge with my cold distilled water. My coffee machines and kettles are now 100% scale free.

Cons

Water tastes unnatural and sterile - i have had to fix it so it tastes normal again or rather, re-introduce all the mineral content that has been taken out using other new-age-hippie methods. The glass jar was cracked unprovoked. Distilled water is re...  Read More

You'd be forgiven if you thought this would be straight forward. You have to screw the handle on yourself and it feels quite unstable. Those who would tell you how bad the water is are the same folks who wear tin-foil hats.

Quality

The water quality is definitely improved - see photo.

I value the quality of my water and, as such, this became a valuable machine to own.

It's quite easy to clean with the steel scourer, but you end up with brown grey muddy water.

The lid is heavy to lift off when refilling and the water leaks out the spout so you need to be careful with the attached plug.

Price

My bobby basic maths was: this basic unit is the same cost as 7 zero water filters (amazon price is £12,50 each at time of rev...  Read More

Packaging/appearance

I bottle it from the jug and chill in the fridge.

Limescale deposits, though, are rather difficult to remove from the stainless water container.

Competitiveness

I use 2 drops of fulvic acid to remineralise the water following distillation.

Sits neatly in the corner of worktop.

A timer on the unit would've been useful, but i'm just using a separate timer.

If you've got solar power and storage .

The amount of sludge visible on the bottom of the vessel after each distillation of a few litres of water from the cold tap amazes us

It turns the grout in the shower orange and the residue that builds up in the distiller is disgusting

I was using the zero water jug which you can now see repurposed in the photos but got so miffed at the cost of the filters and how they wear out so quickly if youve had one and live in a hard water area youll know the problem they start brilliantly then the slight metallic taste then the fishy smell and then thats another £12
