Pros

When dog walking, i'm aways on the lookout for bear. Sometimes camping and hiking, we let our dogs off leash. Perfect for mixed use trails w/ sustained dh where you might not always have the chance to manually ring a bell prior to blind sections of tr...  Read More

Cons

Nothing like a nice hike in nature and hearing one of these obnoxious bells ringing with every step of some ninnie around you! I have a lifetime of experience hiking in the backcountry and these tiny bells are absolutely useless.

The magnetic silencer is off and yet it doesn't really ring or jingle at all. The problem is the mesh bag dangles too low almost touching the ground when the dog sniffs something.

They are well made and even have a magnet to stop them from making noise.

It is very well-made and loud enough to alert bears of our presence without being obnoxious.

The bell rings loud and the case does indeed stop the bell from ringing via a magnet.

The case in which it’s stored however did break when i was using it for the first time.

Price

Great value - it was super inexpensive.

Shipping

The "silencer" feature was especially nice when back on the ship.
