The side hook is clutch! Works how you would expect plastic tent stakes to work. These work much better than the regular metal stakes that come with tents and tarps. They are easy to remove from the ground.

Highly recommend for beach sunshades or for camping anywhere in soft sand. Also works on other terrains but are a bit harder to pull out as the long length is meant for beach camping. My cats told me not to put damp sand in their litter boxes.

These are much sturdier than the originals. They are sturdy. The color makes it easy to locate in the yard.

They are not durable and made cheaply. These areare suppose to be made to be hammered into the ground with a mallet.
