Pros

It's worth every penny. Everything about the item is top quality. It's just like pic. Great deal for the money at walmart.

Light weight but cuts like a razor blade. Comes next to a real samurai sword. After a little sharpening you can use this for self defense against whatever, even if it's that tree limb that smacks you in the face while your on the tractor.

The only downfall is that the steel is highly susceptible to corrosion. Fun cutter, more for back yard bottle chopping than true use as a machete in the woods.

They are sharp right out of the box, but will need some sharpening for the best edge and these have the burs that cold steel machetes are (in)famous for. Sharp enough to shave with it.

Cons

The blade was thin with far to much flex and very poorly finished. The plastic handle had pronounced, rough seems where the two pieces were fused together. I hope cold steel typically has better quality and i simply received a fluke.

This is a well made, crude slicing piece of steel that will ruin anyone's day.

I love the length of the handle, it really helps balance the long blade and lets you comfortably choose your own two-handed position.

The blade was still perfect even after weeks of extremely bitter hard use.

I do have a martial arts background, japanese sword styles kendo and iado, so you may not have the same results, but i couldn't be happier.
