The handle broke while chopping firewood the second day of a camping/hiking trip in the rockies. Steel is great quality but the handle broke.

Awesome tool and even broke through the sun baked desert floor.

Only thing i’ve ever put in the ground with this shovel is some geraniums and a nice basil plant.

I have done everything with the cold steel shovel from throwing it across the yard, to chopping sticks, and digging holes.

I’ve used entrenching tools for years for digging around water services in a ditch when a big shovel won’t fit.

It's a great piece for the price.

I prefer this shovel to the newer folding us tools.
