Pros & Cons
Pros
As a paring knife it is superb. Comes with an extremely sharp factory edge, sligtly soft but easily resharpened 5cr15mov kitchen grade steel. Thin blade that has exactly the right geometry for slicing tomatoes and doesn't split apples.
Cons
All reviews of this knife demonstrate a very distinct ratcheting sound when open or closing the knife. It's not a bad knife (the blade edge is fantastic), but again i'm disappointed that the quality has gone down. Way too much work to close this knife... Read More

Competitiveness
For extra safety, there are a couple of more detents before the blade is completely closed.
An excellent value at less than $10.
I also edc a fox karambit and shivworks el nino trainer (non-lethal option) too.

The knife does come very stiff or at least mine but all i did was close it and pull the backspring ever so slightly so that its just a little looser and now ive got a one handed flick knife that weighs next to nothing
