Pros
The cs magnum tanto cpm-3v series is an outstanding selection to choose from. Only complaint is that the tanto blade on the nightfall magnum tanto, visibly, appears to be narrower than the master tanto and the recon tanto.
Cpm-3v series is what is called, a “super steel,” which is stronger and more resistant to outside influences. Hollow ground 3v blade with wide spine. Cpm3v is tough steel, so this should do any work needed.
Cons
Instead of a card board protector, now the inside of the sheet is very oily. Slides right out. Was the shun are the hardest ones to sharpen, and this one doesn't even come sharp out of the box.

I suggest that you shop for a better quality butane torch, preferably used for soldering, because of it’s precision.

Keep it greased because high carbon will rust

I had to look really close to see that the grind was off by just under 1mm near the tip

As to the hollow grind cold steel videos show the tai pan slicing through meat like a light saber the depth of the cut being equal to the length of the blade

The vrod sharpener is the only way i found to sharpen it properly
