I was hoping to get a japanese blade but as long as the quality is there then i am not trippin.
A high quality knife made from k5 steel.
I’ve read a few reviews mentioning some quality control issues, not the case for me.

I like everything and the price was low for this excellent knife
The blade and handle are perfect, even though it was double the price.
Amazing knife for the price, you honestly can’t couldn’t get a better all around outdoor/combat blade for the price.

This is an awesome, sharp knife right out of the box.
Extremely thick steel and very sharp right out of the box.

It helps that it's a good-looking blade as well.
Beautiful knife alittle blade heavy but all around solid.
This recon tanto sporting a 9oz 5mm thick 7 length of japanese sk-5 high carbon steel w/ black tuff-ex finish is one of those tools.
It also has 14 grommet holes and 4 slots, allowing a multitude of attachment and carry options employing zip-ties, paracord, c-clips, etc.

The recon tanto in san mai is an aesthetically impressive part of my collection but it will not replace the “regular” recon tanto as my workhorse version

The band that snaps around the hilt of the handle to hold it secure is sewn in and ill have to watch
