Pros & Cons
Pros
If your looking-for a tough; hard-use edc knife, the sr1 is the one you want to purchase. It has more thick spine for batoning. Its blade design makes a little more sense for the everyday tasks a knife has to do.
The g10 is solid no slipping from the hand. The scales provide a lot of grip. Handle is large so fits my xl hands fine even with thin work gloves.
The build is perfect no blade play no rattle solid lockup. The blade is thick enough to be a pry bar. The ad tri-ad lock is outstanding.
The 4 blade is satin stainless cpm-s35vn steel, nestled between green g10 scales. The tip is decently thick for the blade shape without creating a blunt edge. Came razor sharp out of the box.
The sr1 is the most capable bang-for-your-buck folder option in its class. I know ur not supposed to baton with a folder, but i wanted a folder that would handle it should the need arises.
Highlights
Quality
It is well built of quality materials and is comfortable to use.
The feel, the ergonomics everything about this knife screams durability.
Fit and finish was on point, and the steel is a peach, sharpens easy and holds an edge well against use.
Aggressive g10 grips, positive lock and grip, flat grind and brushed steel finish blade.
Price
I can honestly say it is worth every penny!
Dont let thier advertise fool you, they are selling factory defect knives, thats why its half the cost.
I should have bought this knife before, just didn't want to pay the price.
If your on a budget the lite version can be had for under 40$ and it’s just a nice just lesser valued steel.
Competitiveness
On my example, you see that the lock bar right corner is rounded off on the sr1 (the one on the right in picture bought on amaz... Read More
There are grind angle differences but that may due to the more pronounced hollow grind on the sr1 again compared to the lite version.
