Pros

Lightweight and maybe the perfect all around camping lantern. If you get the lid part correct it's a great lantern. I see that coleman still makes the fuel-powered version.

I have two of these lanterns, and a crapload of d batteries on hand, and together they are lifesavers.

Cons

The battery cover gets stuck and there is no way to remove it. Turns out the shaft has to be seated in a specific way, and that was not mentioned in the instructions. In their ad it clearly states that it has battery shut-off but instruction tell you ... Read More

Very sturdy and lightweight and really lights up the areas where i need it lit.

Works great and i used it for 6 days with out any problems at full power

The thing jammed and i could not get it in position, could not take batteries out, could not get a light.

It is lose and tried to pull it off (worrying if i would break it for real) but could not get it pulled off .

Based on the price i wasn’t expecting much but this little guy was so bright and lasted as long as i needed it to.

Not much change in the battery compartment but a good light for the money.

Packaging/appearance

Whomever packed it put it in a non-bubble wrapped sealed bag instaed of box w/air pillow.

Arrived in its coleman box all banged up which was super unappreciated.

I always select, "hide product's original packaging" versus just slap a lbl on it & hope no one steals off my porch.

Competitiveness
