Pros & Cons
Pros
All the seams in the fly are well-taped for waterproofness. Survived a hailstorm, full day of sleet, and 4 days of rain. Only drawback is the sides of the rain fly should be pulled a bit more.
With the attached shock-corded poles and clips, setup only takes a few minutes. Overall it's a good tent that's maybe a little too difficult for a novice like me. Ease of setup is perfect.
The tent is slightly wider than it is long, as you can see from the photos with the inflatable queen-size mattress. The new one is noticeably more spacious, particularly around the edges of all four sides.
It stashes in a purpose-made triangular pocket.
For the remaining clips, they seem to fit best when the webbing is perpendicular to the pole. The one gripe i have with this tent is coleman should have included an extra stay/eyelet for extra tension on both sides of the fly.
Cons
The wind was barely a gust and more a decent breeze and the tent absolutely failed. Upon examination it is obvious what the defect is. Super disappointed, i really want this tent to work.
Highlights
Quality
The clever design allows for additional features regarding ease of set up, tear down, storage and actual use.
I found it very sturdy as well resisting wind and rain and no leaks as well.
Everything down the to zippers felt like quality products.
It poured for about seven hours straight and this tent held up with no leaks.
Price
Update 2: when i bought this tent it was one hundred and thirty nine dollars.
I'd have gladly paid a few dollars more for aluminum poles, and if i were buying a tent, this would be a no-go for me personally.
The current price is almost twice that.
Not sure it is worth its current price.
Packaging/appearance
Product is easy to pack and, believe it or not, even easier to deploy.
I got a fairly good size cot in there and my dry box (tote) and was very pleased with the room i had.
It's got a nice duel zippered, covered entrance with alot of space to keep packs etc.
Competitiveness
This product is very easy to assemble compared to other tent i’ve set up before.
The plus side is it wasn't as painful to lose a $200 tent as the other people losing their name brand tents.
Coleman should consider, as some other tent makers, making their storage bags a bit oversized for easier pack-up.
Compared to the other version of this same tent with a screened vestibule where the vestibule area has a floor, i kind of prefe... Read More

The vestibule is great for keeping shoes and gear dry but still outside your tent so you don’t track water or mud inside

I bought the 4person tent based on the rule of thumb that whatever number of people the tent is rated for cut that in half and youll have the actual number of people that can comfortably fit in the tent
