Pros & Cons
Pros
It will be perfect for our family trips to the hiawatha national forest in michigan's upper peninsula. We camp in a primitive campground on the shore of lake michigan for a week at a time. Used it during a 30 degree night.
Main room is easily the size of a big pop-up canopy. The headroom is outstanding. Screen room is the full width and a bit less than half the depth of the main room. Plenty of room to set up a few chairs and chill out.
It is spacious and easily fit two people and a dog. The secondary room in the front is sweet for storing water packs. I feel it's substantially more well suited to 6 adults.
As long as it's staked, it goes up easily and quickly. I feel confident i can set this up myself, going to use a clamp or strap as a stand in for a helper. Taking down the tent and wrapping up all the cords, folding and packing into the provided carry... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Light weight and i had no problem moving it setup a few feet to a better option in the campsite.
Love the built in poles, the color coded fasteners for the rain fly, the expandable storage bag, and that roomy interior!
Spent over 2 months continuous use while off grid and the tent performance was flawless.
It keeps a lot of dirt out of the tent and is a double layer of mosquito protection.
Price
Overall, i feel it's a strong value.
Packaging/appearance
This one is also much easier to pack up and store in the included carry bag.
Packs up nicely into its carrying case.
Taking it down and packing it away was fairly easy.
It comes so neatly packed and organized but for the life of me i cannot fold it and get it back into the bag as nice.
Competitiveness
I'm currently reviewing this for setup, features, and construction, since it's not really camping season for us (i'll update af... Read More
I’d buy the other coleman evanston with porch or the asteroutdoor also with porch.

Didnt really have much wind and we didnt have any water in the tent when we got up other than a small puddle around the zipper in the screen room

It rained hard and was very windy the first night we used it

Nothing “leaked” the bottom stayed dray…

But the rain tarp doesn’t come all the way to the bottom and some small amounts of water splashed onto the screen from the wind blowing the tent hard and splashed in… if you rain camp you know it’s hard to stay dray even with great equipment
