Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

Tent is huge and roomy. Very sturdy and well made. Just make sure before you put any waterproofing spray on your tent you read the instructions well.

The floor is waterproof, the doors are large, and the inside height is no problem for my 6'2 body. We always camp with the rain tarp on but also have kids who still nap.

The color-coded poles and pole sleeves make it easy to assemble. The tent itself looks very easy to set-up, and maintain.

Cons

Tent is flimzy and isn't sturdy. Poor quality.

Quality

This tent feels well-made with strong seams and zippers, strong poles, clasps, and lines.

Seems very durable and hoping to get many years out of it

Sadly after a couple days i noticed a hole in one of the seams along the back of the tent, luckily it’s covered by the rain tar...  Read More

Features we didn’t use: we didn’t use the zipper for the power extension.

Price

The extra room afforded by this tent allows for a family of four to have all their stuff, plenty of mattresses and still have r...  Read More

Not a huge deal i guess as i have decided to keep it rather than the hassle of returning it.

For the price of this tent, the floor should be a little more robust.

Packaging/appearance

If you're looking to go camping with your family and just want a single tent to make packing life easier, this is the way to go.

My only possible complaint is that this tent is pretty difficult to pack in a way that can fit everything back into the tote bag.

I may try to unpack it and see if i can pack it more neatly, but it's not the end of the world, for sure.

Competitiveness

We're comparing this to the skydome 8p, our current marmot limestone 6p & other family tents we've owned.

Setting up the tent is very easy with the provided color coded poles and the polls to this skylodge are thick compared to lower...  Read More

This colman tent met most of those parameters i was hoping to spend 200300 for a tent but this one ended up being 300400 in spring ‘22this first trip we took was a 7 night stay to so

The hardest part to do alone is the initial 3 polls for the roof after that it’s just the uprights to elevate the tent up

We didn’t have the dogs on this trip with us so we are missing their crates and i am standing in the entry with the door fully open

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The front doors opened up wide at night when we didn’t want to unzip everything it was easy to duck in the door and be standing up right in the screened in entry which also has a floor

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

In the entry we had a chair for taking shoes onoff and 2 large tubs stacked on the other side with lots of room for all of us to get in and out at the same time

The tent door is massive almost the whole wall zips away and has a large mesh pocket to stuff it into

The are massive and had dividers sewn into them
