Pros:-they are very durable (if used gently and actually last quite a while if abused)-the vestibule under the rainfly allows for realitivly easy access-the rain fly goes clear to the ground which helps prevent the wetness in the pacific northwest-for scouts it gives the older boys something to do to train the younger scouts on (kinda the point of scouts)-coleman has repair kits that you can buy if the poles break (and with scouts poles many times will get brokent)-the tub of the tent is very resistant to water intrusion.  Read Less
