Pros & Cons
Pros
The bottle opener works like a champ. Comes with a handy booklet informing you best ways to load your cooler. The beer opener is a nice touch, the cooler is solid but not ridiculously heavy.
Cooling effectiveness is on par with my nice cooler. It holds its temp pretty darn well. Ideal for patio and deck use - beach days - large picnic parties.
The latching is top quality compared to the flawed rubber latches most other brands carry. The hinges are steel & have built-in stops to keep the lid from going back too far. I like that the latch is on the front and pulls from underneath.
The powder coat finish looks sleek and will withstand all the wear and tear. The black design goes well with my black-themed rv and just looks cool.
Metal cladding on the bottom of the cooler is plastic, but the upper and top are metal clad. Plastic parts on the outside are easily removable with a phillips head screwdriver.
Cons
It is not hard to imagine how it was dented since it was packed with almost no protective wrapping between the cooler and the cardboard box. The cardboard box is flimsy, and the interior packaging is subpar. The entire cooler is metal except the plast... Read More
Highlights
Quality
With the negative notations aside, this cooler is made to last.
Mine still has some ice (mostly water) after 3 days with the 1st day outside all day, in the sun for a while, & 2 days in the garage.
Although i haven’t actually used this one it’s the very same model as previously purchased with the previous lacking a bottle opener.
A sit test - shows they're honest about the 250lb limit.
Price
However it’s price is seven times less than the yeti.
Shipping
The only downside was the poor shipping which caused minor, cosmetic damage.
So i'm sort of surprised that it wasn't more damaged in shipping; perhaps that speaks to the durability of the cooler itself.
Packaging/appearance
You may want to try to pull the tape off rather than using a box cutter or keys to open the packaging.
The cooler arrived in a large box, with no inner packaging or padding/packing.
Competitiveness
The bottle opener works like a champ.
The old-school bottle opener is very nice.
This is not an rtic, or yeti rotomolded cooler for extended duration outings, or extreme temperatures.
The specs also say it will hold up to 250lbs.

This is an overall solid wellperforming cooler but i dont think its worth the current price tag of 180

The metal on the outside seems primarily meant to justify an increase in cost above normal plastic coolers without much extra materials cost
