Pros

The cooler is solid but not ridiculously heavy. It has an old-style bottle opener attached and the lid locks to keep critters out. The beer opener is a nice touch.

It is a cooler made for the outdoors so scuffs & dents are inevitable.

The latching is top quality compared to the flawed rubber latches most other brands carry. It’s a metal latch that rotated to tighten the lid closed. The hinges are steel & have built-in stops to keep the lid from going back too far.

Metal cladding. The plastic parts it has on the outside are easily removable with a phillips head screwdriver.

Cons

The cardboard box is flimsy. The plastic mounting tab is at about 20 degrees off vertical. There was a huge dent and scratch on the front of it.

Is in receivership. The latch is complete trash. I'd recommend not ordering if you plan to use right away.

Price

Initially hesitant due to the price, i feel it has been worth every penny.

Best cooler for the money, can out more in it than the high end over insulated ones!

Bought mine 2 years ago as a warehouse deal for $140ish.

It looks and feels like a $500 yeti type cooler.

Shipping

Third - and final - shipment was perfect, with a perfect new and shiny cooler 😊it took some time, but amazon made it before our vacation.

Mine also came that way but that's what's expected when you ship through amazon.

Honestly i don't know that i want to return it - since i feel like any replacement shipped is likely to suffer the same fate.

However, enough on my disappointment with shipping - since that's really amazon's fault - it's not a review of the product itself.

Packaging/appearance

The cooler arrived in a large box, with no inner packaging or padding/packing.

The cooler arrived with a very small dent on the top despite being packed in a good box with styrofoam strips.

You may want to try to pull the tape off rather than using a box cutter or keys to open the packaging.

The shipper needs to look more into quality packaging and padding when sending these out.

Competitiveness

For the price in comparison to other coolers it’s great!

Otherwise if you're looking to get more bang for your buck, i'd look elsewhere.

Although i haven’t actually used this one it’s the very same model as previously purchased with the previous lacking a bottle opener.
