Quality
I was impressed by the quality of the stand.
I am very happy with the purchase of this lantern stand.
Since the weight is off-center, you really need to stake it down with the included stakes.
Luckily i staked them down with the included stakes but it was annoying.
Competitiveness
I use an older, coleman lantern that is somewhat heavy, but the stand works like a champ.

All folded up it is not as compact as i had imagined its still about 34 when it is collapsed

Folds down pretty small about the size of an umbrella

The lanterns light does not adequately light up the stands legs so your left making a wide turn around it to avoid it
