Pros

If your northstar didn't come with a case, this is a must have accessory. Made to fit many different sized propane lanterns. Takes a little thinking to get your lamp in the the case but it fits tightly but not so tight you risk damaging the lamp.

This case withstood my * with flying colors. No longer have to worry about the lantern breaking. The only draw back is that they are glass and can be fragile. Otherwise very durable.

Cons

There's no room in the case for the fuel canister. The latch is flimsy and poorly designed. It needs precarious placement in a vehicle loaded with other camping gear so as not to jostle open the latch.

Researching coleman's site along with the many review and q&a supplied on the amazon site, i gambled on this case.

I wish i would have made the choise to buy a case like such years ago.
