Pros

The instastart feature is kind of finicky. No issues with the instant start, works every time. Love the auto start.

The plastic case that it collapses into is a good enough shield from dropping or smashing. Gives off plenty of light and protective cover is great for transporting.

It is very bright on high, it starts reliably the few times i have relighted it. It's also very adjustable so we could dim it down to have just a little light to make s'mores by.

This works with propane and has a matchless mechanism (i hope it lasts for some good time) worked very, very well and didn't even come close to using a bottle of propane in 3 nights running 3 hours every night.

Cons

My aa mini-maglite is brighter. Of course, the maglite illuminates one direction only. Flow control is non existent.

I was so thrilled when this arrived and am still very much so!

Packaging/appearance

This old time classic is wonderfully updated to be much more compact for easy packing, travel and storage.

I like the carrying case, i’ve broken too many globes during travel and/or packing.

Competitiveness

Every time i try another brand though i seem to always end up returning to coleman.

I decided to replace it with a cheaper brand with the idea it would be just as good for the money.

I have owned several different brands of gas lanterns.
