I would still recommend this cooler despite the price.
I think it is definitely worth the cost if you use it on a regular basis.

Emptied out the ice-packs the next day and they were still cold.
Competitiveness
Obviously nothing can compete with a hardside cooler, but this comes as close as anything i've ever used.
Not much more room than for a koozie or two.
All of that being said, what makes this a gamechanger for us is its combination of capacity and portability.

It will slide down into it but 13 of the phone sticks out so you could carry your phone in it but would not be fully secured since the pocket would not be able to be zipped shut

Obviously you can find a lot of soft side coolers in the 2040 range in the big box stores but i have found that most of those leak because of thin weak liners which fail in fairly short order
