Price
I don't know how the price compares to in stores because it's been about a year since i've bought it in a store.
So, it comes down to two things – taste and price.
Packaging/appearance
I'm also loving the packaging for this three pack.
It's more minty, which (i think) helps disguise the taste i didn't like in the sensodyne ~ the potassium nitrate.
I can rip off a box, the other two stay stacked neatly, and there's that much less plastic packaging in the world.
Competitiveness
For a long time sensodyne toothpaste has been the main choice for those with sensitive teeth.

I know its an improvement from the cap that drops down the sink or the kids cant seem to replace but the flip cap gets sticky and refuses to close even after vigorous rinsing so its not much better

I was brand loyal to sensodyne for so long and then in 2015 they changed from flip top to screw top and the screw top was really hard to open
