5 stars mostly due to the cost of the device and its deviation from true hi-fi.
I believe that my player is also very good value for money.
I myself auditioned an a&k ak240 recently & tbh it didn't impress considering its 2 grand asking price.
As an expensive high end dedicated music player i expected a scintillating introduction to the subtle world of hi-fi.

The c4 pro ui had begun to annoy a while ago and is prehistoric compared to the plenue 1 with its colour touchscreen.
I don't care that the c4 pro is a bigger than other inferior products, i enjoy the character and that it's a bit different.

You can say £500s a lot of money but theres an astell kern player that costs £2000 but the only thing youll get by buying the £2000 ak player versus the colorfly c4 pro a much more fancier gui a touchscreen android system

If your of the ipod mp3 brigade then perhaps this isnt for you if however you like your music to sound its best versus how a players ui looks then there is no better than the c4 its cyber steampunk looks are kind of cool cultish already
