True size but its recommended for hiking boots to choose a half size larger which we did

These boots are comfortable overall but the tongue is short so it puts weird rubbing pressure on the top of my footankle

Might consider sizing up 12 size if you like space for your toes to breathe because they are a little narrow in the toe box
