Bought this to try out for my new camera, barely affect weight, has a nice grip, hold the camera steady by itself.

I would not trust this enough to hold it over a ledge or water without making sure your phone feels like it is being gripped solidly.

Very complete for the price, woks very nice with my cellphone.
Honestly, this is a good value simply for the remote, the selfie stick/tripod are just a bonus in my opinion.
You have to use the app which cost subscriptions.
