Highlights
Quality
Using it primarily for layout and measuring of woodworking projects and it far exceeds the quality of the swanson it replaces.
Arrived early and its a very quality product, will last a long time!
I have used starrett's for years and the quality always is the same, great.
The moment i took it out of the box and held it in my hands, i could feel the quality.
Packaging/appearance
It came square out of the box.
Competitiveness
Exactly as i suspected, a well crafted tool worth the price.
I don't know if one needs such a high-end combo-square ever, when $20 from sears would do just fine.
It may be 100% better than options but costs 800% more.

I got tired of buying different combination squares that claimed to be square but were not or the hardware or materials used to make them were always inferior which led to inaccuracies and sloppiness
