M's command products help me do that and i use then extensively, even in my kitchen pantry and other closets where i've hung rechargeable motion-activated lights. At first i was put off by the high prices. Original right packaging.
Cons
The clips are also really hard to get un-clipped and get clipped back around the cords. There isn't a lot of size guidance on what a large clip is in the photos. My wall is just a standard drywall with flat paint and i only used them as a guide for a ... Read More

As long as you follow the instructions there should be no reason for them to not stick to a normal flat paint interior wall

So of course i thought of 3ms command products and i hoped that the style i chose would serve my purpose because the smaller round cord clip put a little more pressure on the glass dropper than i was comfortable with

So i ended up combining my newly purchased large cord clipwhich on receipt looked grossly oversized for my glass dropperwith the smaller round cord clip
