Two for each length of ribbon - 1 with the hook pointing up, and one with the hook pointing down.
It is a high quality plastic, but isn’t metallic in my opinion.

These work well for light things if you apply them to a flat surface but when i hung something that was about 14 pound from it on a wall that was a little textured it fell off

They arent on a part of the wall that gets wet but i couldnt get them to stick for more than 24 hours holding up a bath pouf
