    I have it mounted so that the lower part of the roku box where the ir remote signal needs to go hangs below the bottom of the tv and the remote signal goes through the plastic with no problem at least at the distance of 5 feet

    My one other complaint is that the fragile plastic tab that holds the mounting bracket on the back tends to break off very easily rendering the whole unit useless
