Replaced all cable with straight runs of rg6q coax and the commscope unity gain 9-port powered amplifier/splitter. Make sure to purchase your own short 6 series coax cable for power and coaxial f type 75 ohm terminator to cap the unused ports.

The port labelled power is not supposed to be used. Maybe just a defective unit.
