I also do professional hvac work and i dont think this saw would hold up for a very long time in that type of application

So i was cutting through 2 12 thick doug fir tongue and groove decking that was 50 years old and hard as a rock a layer of roofing underlayment a layer of roofing felt and two layers of tarandgravel roofing material

The saw did well with one exception during aggressive plungecutting the blade would jerk free of the bladerelease and be left embedded in the roof

A couple of times the blade was completely stuck and i had to grab another blade and cut around the original blade and pull the wood out before i could recover my original blade

This happened 34 times over the 8 hours i was using the saw

I ended up dullingout about 7 hilti reciprocating saw blades before the job was done i cut about 10 holes through the roof
