The construction feels solid/sturdy, its metal, lights up nicely and its bright!
Solid die-cast piece, chrome plated, with a nicely bright led.
12/13/16 update: started to short out as a result of aforementioned light gauge vulnerable wires at the point where they exit the frame.
Whoever did that work just took a dealer license frame, drilled some holes and semi-attached the oem light from the fender to that.
Price
No complaint though, for the price of the plate, it's well worth it!
The frame was very easy to install using some $0.
I could not build something this nice for this price.
50 splice kits from the local auto store.
Packaging/appearance
Plus it looks great on a fender eliminated motorcycle.
Competitiveness
They have another version that has fewer led's, which i figured would be fine for license plate.
I'll put up a picture after i'm finished with some other mods i'm making.

The frame itself is metal and it comes with its own allen screws

You have to use the supplied screws because they are smaller than the standard license plate screws

Its absolutely necessary to notch or drill a hole on the license plate near the very top for the power wire to pass through to the back of the plate

The wire at the end is open so you can splice onto your existing license plate light from the factory

Its not quite plug and play but nothing aftermarket is when you have to wire it up to your bikes electrics

It needs to be just a tad shorter so it wont have too much thread showing behind the license plate
