These are machined from metal and the inner collar is much larger meaning the plates won’t ever slip over into the grip

The weighted plates causes the locks to turn to open

Not a big deal but just note this may cause the lock to loosen completely when in use and if your doing core crunches or even just general use the weighted plate may slip out and hurt you

Like all threaded collars it is necessary to retighten between every second or third set as they will loosen slightly
