As for the curling mine wasnt terribly curled at the edges i simple laid it upside down gave a through vacuuming

When i took it out i couldnt get it to lay flat

I rolled it the opposite direction but it still looked like a potato chip laying on the floor

I then tried laying them under a heavy rug for about 24 hours which resulted in a little less potato chip but still not laying flat
