There are parts on the outside of the mouthpiece that are hard to clean but at least the water you are drinking doesn’t ever touch that part

Durability and customer servicethe only issue we have ever had was with the black rubber seal in the inside of the lid coming out and being unable to get it back in causing the bottles to leak

The dishwasher thing is always an important part for me because i can put it on sanitize and i know that its killed most germs

It does take a little trial and error but it comes out when you suck on the mouthpiece like you would a regular straw

They are also pretty much spill proof even when the spout is out but if he shakes it like crazy water will come out

Ive included numbered images on making sure you have the straw completely disassembled before putting in the dishwasher

It does provide a child or teen with a good amount of water but for an adult this may not work for you
