If you try to use it within a few hours after cleaning it, it will leak significant amounts of water from all the seals for 15 minutes.

I keep thinking my coffee is leaking, but it is just water that was trapped in the lid - somehow the coffee never leaks at all.

Best mugs ever, however, i was able to find them at one of our warehouse stores for a better price, about 1/2 of what is on amazon.
