It is leak proof but you have to be sure you screw on the top evenly and tightly

This is my second bottle of the same “model” the previous one lasted for about 3 years and was in great condition but sadly was confiscated at the airport sad moment

It tends to leak a little when not upright but it’s not bad also when it’s hot and you open the spout it will shoot liquid with no warning heat pressure
