Pros

Compared to a tubed tire such as the standard gp 5000, these are in a league of their own. Conti gp4k was awesome and these tubeless 5ks are even better. A butyl tube is used with this tire.

The grip is phenomenal and the speed is right up there with all the race tires. The tire wear is satisfactory for my use with the grip it offers. I'm a clydesdale on a madone.

The gp5000 tl are usually tricky to install. Swapped stock bontrager 32s for these. They're tight, but you need to make sure you're using good tire mounting technique. They have a 21mm internal width.

Good uphill. Good downhill. Good on the straights. One with tan sidewall is really beautiful.

Cons

It seems to be defective. Received a damaged box with an ultra sport (700 x 28) tire inside. Two visits to the continental website with no response after several weeks.

They are problematic to keep inflated. Durability is also a concern. I put double sealant in, it stays better, but one dose (35ml) of sealant didn't do the trick.

Good value for the quality would buy again

I took a chance on these at $48 a piece.

Might have been a pricing error as they are now in the $70-80 plus range for 1 tire.

Item was delivered quickly and met all expectations.

Ordered from brands cycle late last week and were delivered today.

I ordered the all-black version and received the golden-colored tire.

Competitiveness

In any case the performance and characteristics are so much better over any other tire out there it's worth the price.

Supply chain nightmares forced me to try a few other brands/road racing slicks.

Vittoria riders are usually the loyalists so i don't have a comparison 2nd hand from the club.
