Pros
The only drawback i've seen thus far is that it doesn't roll up evenly. Can't complain with a product priced this low that functions so well. Worth every penny.
Nearly a 5, excepting installation is not a breeze. Looked at both clutch and idle end plugs. Installed quickly on patio overhang to keep rain spray off.
The blind makes a huge difference with heat that normally floods into the house via the sun deck. My porch is south facing and the amount of sunlight was burning my plants. Plus i have security doors that have the protection screen--also blocks sun.
Cons
Extremely light-weight. Will not stay in place in any wind over 2 mph. Not durable. Cr crank handles are not rust-resistant or rust-proof. When opened, the idle end unit and one bottom rail cap were not in the package.

The rotating mechanism seems sturdy and the product itself makes a very good overall impression.
Easy to install, perfect fit and so efficient.
The way the beams are connected, inside and outside, interfere with installation of end pieces.

Not the clear square box that the same shades come in from the big box stores.
Competitiveness
I bought this to go with an identical, but longer, coolaroo shade i purchased from a box store.
Unfortunately, needed a smaller shade to match the existing larger coolaroo.
