Pros

The cololaroo butterfly gazebo is beautiful. The poles and sail are well made and are very sturdy. The canopy looks fantastic. As others have stated, this gazeba is heavy.

Made of quality materials and coolaroo does not scrimp on fasteners quantities. Went together smoothly and looks very good. Quality of the material is excellent.

This shade cover is a great price for our harsh environment. It provides plenty of shade and does reduce the temperature under it by a few degrees. Set up in a previously very sunny spot in my backyard, and i now have a very well shaded area.

There could be better instructions for hooking the canopy to the frame with those stretchy thingies. This gets the canopy into the right position.

It comes with three holes in each post foot for securing. Will just need a ladder and step stool. The downside is, you have to get those concrete bases exactly right.

Over the years i have purchased the ubiquitous white carport canopies, which always collapse after a season.

The supplied wrench is garbage and i used my own pliers.

For value to price, i think this gazebo is fine.

Well worth the money and much less costly than a permanent pergola.

I've destroyed several $100 quick up shades in the same wind that this thing laughs at.

If you can get a good price on this, go for it.

Arrived earlier than expected with all the hardware needed, very easy to install.

This butterfly gazebo has come at just the right time ; ready for spending time outdoors.

I got through the company right away and they said they are sending out the replacement piece no charge.

I have read the reviews that said that upon receiving the product via a shipping company, that the and were open and hardware was missing.

Packaging/appearance

It looks beautiful and gives our sunny patio nice shade.

The box arriveddamaged-open on both ends spilling out hardware in the process.

The packaging was horrendous & i don’t know how, but we weren’t missing anything!

I do recommend to the company that they upgrade the packaging.

Competitiveness

I went to a commercial awning company and was floored by their price to install something almost identical to the coolaroo gazebo.

Update: i forgot to mention, this provides much better airflow than your traditional gazebo.
