This crank model is a little more challenging to install into a ceiling mount configuration. It rolls down and up easily and smoothly with the crank. Nice that the folding cranks can be left on and do not have to be installed or removed with each use.... Read More

This is the first time we've owned a coolaroo product. Would definitely recommend this product. The quality of the shade looks great also.

Cons

Horrible customer service from this seller. Hardware is flimsy, the warranty is nonexistent. Buyers beware perhaps you should try lowes instead!

The design of the mounting bracket makes it nearly impossible to place a screwdriver or a drill bit to drive the screws into the wall. The mounting brackets are all basically gone and gears are all but stuck in place.

Shipping

I ordered two units, and each one was shipped in separate cardboard boxes with packing paper.

Packaging/appearance

I installed two of these for a customer on an exterior wooden porch, and they were quite pleased.

The six-foot blind i also ordered was shipped without any packaging at all (not even a tube).

I did find the packing to be excessive and wasteful.

The units are packaged in four-foot by four-inch cardboard tubes, which should be more than adequate for shipping.
