I would really recommend it does provide good quality cooling for cpu for it's price
However, with the proliferation of inexpensive and effective aio water coolers, i don't really see the need to use air coolers anymore.
With the stock fan it idled around 58c/60c now i'm getting around 36c/40c during idle and regular use.
This thing is whisper quiet by comparison and now with the cpu overclocked x19 it has never hit over 64c under load.

I had issues with a stock i7 cooler mounting to my pcb contacts werent good and was causing temperatures of over 90c under full load

Little pissed the amazon pic showed two fans for the 212 plus truth is it came with mounting brackets for one more fan but only one fan

Its a fan cooler not liquid so will have to clean the dust from time to time to keep it fully functional

I did not do this so i guess it did not keep my cpu cool enough because after about a year it stopped staying stable overclocked at 4ghz or even 3

The fan started making noise about six months in of regular use but it still works fine and the noise goes away after about five minutes
