My personal thoughts are if your laptop is getting hot enough that this thing isnt helping then it might be time to get a new laptop

Sturdy construction and the fan is really quiet that you can also turn off if you do not want the extra air

The 4 usb ports that you can use are a really big plus and if you need additional power given that you connect something that demands it you have the option to attach an additional power adapter not included but easily obtainablei do not really use this to put the laptop anywhere but the desk but it does not seem to be comfortable to put in your lap

Others i had bought claimed to keep laptops cool and not saying they didnt but it would only last for an hour maybe even three after having a desktop fan and a cold house later from dropping room temperature
