Pros & Cons
Pros
The moveable fans are easy to place where you want them, so you get the maximum cooling in the areas that you want it. The fan mount is very useful and quick to readjust if needed. The ability to reposition the fans is very nice, as i have a component... Read More
Cooling pad helps prevent laptop from overheating.
Fans on full speed aren't too loud either and the elevation is perfect for typing on. More fans pushing air faster thanks to the higher voltage output of the setup. Only complaint is that one of the fans developed a slight rattle after a few months.
This is the second notepal u3 plus that i've owned. Will fit an alienware 17 r4 nicely -- the footprint of the pad and laptop are very close. Fits my 17 incher perfectly.
Product fits the laptop properly, with minimum overhang. Comes with a strap to hold the laptop in place.
Cons
This seller apparently only offers dhl shipping. They advertise it as a gaming laptop cooler. Dhl's notifications are slow, as is the speed at which the package moves in transit.

Price
I noticed the price of this spike by $20 for a while.
Shipping
That would be as fast as i would overclock it for any length of time without doing a cpu repaste.
Packaging/appearance
The ability to reposition the fans is very nice, as i have a component that i want cooling to that is in a different area from the cpu/gpu.
Competitiveness
The fans are nice and can be moved to accomodate the location of yoir machine's vents.
Note: it works on my dell latitude 3340 13 and my x360 envy hp 17.
I run it using a 10k milliamp powerbank and it can last slightly more than a workday.
Depending on what you're doing, and how much of an overclock you're running, the cooler stand does seems to drop the temps betw... Read More
