Honestly it doesnt even matter if you attach the fans or not they dont make any difference whatsoever

Build quality is good should suit most laptops although there are probably better choices for laptops larger than 1534 as there will be some overhang and you may not be able to position the fans in the optimal spot

I have a razer blade 15 which is pretty infamous for overheating and this does a great job of cooling it however if your laptop doesnt require the intensive cooling this provides you might want to consider a quieter model especially if youre easily annoyed by fan noise and dont have a good audio solution

I dont really use the cooling fan just like to keep the laptop base elevated
