Poor colors in dark backgrounds and lots of blooming when local dimming is enabled.
It makes the screen have a rainbow glitter effect on any bright color so for any web browsing it was heavily distracting.
Price
This has been the best for the price.
For the price, the specs on this monitor are amazing.
Bought it when it was on sale, made the purchase even sweeter.
Would recommend it, especially for the price.

It arrived a week early and in perfect condition.
Had to wait a while to receive it overseas.
It shipped the same day i ordered it so that was great.
I ordered mine 2/2/23 and got it on the 7th, and the delivery originally said the 16th.

Arrived in perfect condition with no dead pixels.
Came pre calibrated with an hdr profile from coolermaster.
Competitiveness
I'd compare getting a true hdr10 display coming from sdr alienware uw like dvd > bluray.
The tempest's speakers easily lose the contest, but for me, having speakers in the monitor is better than not having them.
Because the asus 4k designo is sitting right next to the tempest g27u, i can make a/b comparisons rather easily.

The trick is to tell the monitor to autoselect its input and then make sure that only the computer you want to use is sending a display signal
