Pros

It looks washable, haven't tried that yet. Comes squashed in an envelope like many reviewers, but popped right back into shape. It fits great and can be packed in a suitcase.

It is light and cool and protects from the sun well. Sun protection is top-notch. Sewing and level of finish are excellent.

The brim is wide and looks it. After ironing the brim, it is ok again. The wide brim definitely keeps off the sunrays, but in malta july i sweat a lot.

Cons

I'm astounded that this item has any good reviews. Upon arrival, the hat was not shaped and bent. The hat is not firm.

I had to return it because it was a bit small for my head; but, i thought the quality was good and nice looking.

I cut the cardboard inner band for shipping and put inside band to adjust, not an ideal solution.

Arrived in a sturdy box, wrapped in plastic, packaging was appropriately protective.
