Pros & Cons
Pros
This case is an incredible value. If you're into customizing your cases, this is a great case to start with. This is a good case to play with if you're a beginner.
This case is very quiet and not very “flashy’. It is louder due to the sacrifice of wanting the sccf card to run at 3000 rpm. Quietness will depend hugely on what kinds of fans and power supply you choose to install.
great small atx case, for not a lot of bux. No problem with the atx board. Atx mb fits a-ok.
This case has two xeon processors with tower coolers, an added 100mm fan in the front, and 4 hitachi enterprise hard drives (notoriously loud) i have a cheap tower cooler installed on a ryzen 5, and thermals have been a nice surprise. A hyper 212 evo ... Read More
This case is well engineered for a budget builder. Quality of the materials and workmanship were both great. Case is very sturdy, has decent room and cabling is pretty easy.
Cons
There is not enough room for the cables and connectors to be comfortable as squeezed against the right side panel if using full sized drives. The pcie bracket is pretty awful, it only allows for exact dimensions, so you have to jam your card into your... Read More
It looks nice and is reasonably priced, but it suffers from design defects. The same can be said for literally every other case in existence. Spend a little more on corsair's other cases.
Front fan cage must be removed to install a 2nd fan and a standard-depth (25mm deep) fan will block you from reinstalling it.
The airflow is horrendous. It's not quiet, and it's poorly designed.
Highlights
Quality
I bought the quiet version, and i'm very impressed with the lack of noise.
Materials are standard decent corsair quality, and sound deadening is effective.
The construction quality is good (however not high end) and the arrangement of components is nice.
The build quality was above what i expected out of a $50 case.
Price
One of the lower cost boxes out there, but this does the job well.
Packaging/appearance
I used it to repackage an older atx computer.
I was able to move everything out of the last case into this case without trouble.
Competitiveness
I have a cheap tower cooler installed on a ryzen 5, and thermals have been a nice surprise.
And i also like silence…that’s where the corsair 100r silent really came through.
I wish there was room for a 240mm fan in front vs the 120mm you are able to add, but this is small potatoes.
After some thorough research, i found the corsair 100r silent.
