Immediately clocked to 3000mhz without issue and has been very stable running with the i5 6600k.
It's important to match all ram sticks with the same specs, and ideally from the same manufacturer.
It works with the other 16gb of cosair ram that i bought 3 years ago (different type and slightly slower than this).

However, with memory, unless you are building a ryzen system like i did, memory frequency/bandwith doesn't matter much.

I initially had an unfavorable review of this as it would not overclock past the default 2133 with xmp and even with manual fiddling would not get past 2400 but after updating my motherboard bios whose utility would not give me the exact version why i didnt know i needed to update it initially xmp was able to get it to 2997
