With a bit of research my colleagues and i have each used two of these to upgrade our laptops lenovo t520 to 16gb despite an advertised 8gb limit for this model

Rather than risk wasting £70 of the full 16gb i decided to spend the £30 to see if the machine could use 12gb and to my surprise it worked the second 8gb dim is now on order so i will have 16gb of ram
