This unit is by far the quietest of the 4 i've used in the last 2 years. It's reasonably quiet so it wont interrupt your gaming or movie watching. The increase in fan noise is definitely noticeable but that said it is the only con.
Cons
The psu is rated at 30c only, any hotter and the maximum power output can't be reached. For the price of this unit you can get 650 w evga gold rated (this unit is only bronze) i expect better from the amount of money this psu costs.
The psu has the most annoying coil whine ive ever heard. It makes a very loud whining / buzzing noise and throttles the supply to pc. Has a chirping noise coming from the psu.
Corsair cx series seems to have some serious quality control issues. No more corsairs for me, switching to fsp aurum. Better quality bearings and japanese capacitors.
It is world wide a faulty product i read. Pfff. Not happy at all. Once again faulty. I'm just lucky it damage the rest of my hardware.

Low end psu but still great bang for the buck!

Came with plenty of connections of all types required.
Had look at the fan to be sure the psu was on!

Not a lot of power supplies manufacturers you can't trust as much as corsair.
